Training and Facilitation

I love a good group experience. The workshops, meetings, and retreats I facilitate are participant-driven, experiential, and a lot of fun. Here’s what I’m currently offering:

  • White caucus / affinity groups: These are spaces where white peers can learn about white supremacy, wrestle with hard questions about race and systems of oppression, and identify anti-racist action steps to take in their own lives.

    • I facilitate these groups both within specific workplaces, and across multiple workplaces, if there’s interest.
    • Sometimes I work with other facilitators of color who facilitate a people of color caucus group that runs alongside a white caucus group I’m facilitating. I have the honor of partnering with talented facilitators of color, and am always interested in partnering with new folks, too!
  • I co-facilitate a workshop series called Understanding Unconscious Whiteness in Philanthropy, which is geared towards white foundation board members, individual donors, and foundation staff. This is an opportunity for white people in philanthropy to learn how the sector has upheld (and continues to uphold) white supremacy, and then map out a plan of anti-racist action for their philanthropic work.

  • Customized trainings related to coaching skills; communication skills; power, privilege, and oppression

  • Staff meetings and retreats (both the planning / visioning and team building varieties).
